St. John’s congregation is involved in many missions, ministries, and activities. There are always good works for young and old happening here!

 
 

Youth Sunday School

  • Youth Bible Study Thursdays 6-7:30pm (Sept-May).

  • Young adults are encouraged to participate in Confirmation Classes which are generally available in June.

  • Vacation Bible School is an exciting event at St John’s each July.

Women’s Bible Study

WOMEN’S NOON BIBLE STUDY is the first Wednesday of the month, at noon; bring a brown bag lunch if you so desire. Any and all women of the congregation (and friends of the women of the congregation) are invited to this Bible Study. Hope to see you there!

Youth Group

The Youth Group is for all children under 18. The Youth Group meets regularly for fun, wholesome activates. Activities are held both on-site and off-site. Examples of activities are roller skating, pizza night, movies, and Bible escape room. Join us for great family fun! Facebook Page

 

St. John’s Pre-School

The Pre-School is a great resource for parents of 3 and 4 year children who are looking to build a strong spiritual and educational foundation. Facebook Page

Adult Bible Study

Sundays at 9:00am. We explore the readings and the gospel of the current lectionary. Pastor Beake leads the discussion about the context and history of the bible readings as well as what they mean today.

A.F Daily Bread

Mission Statement: “Providing a meal to those who want it.”

Free meals are served the last Monday of each month, 5:30pm – 6:30 pm. To become a part of this ministry you can mail donations to “A.F. Daily Bread” c/o Toni Bauer, P.O. Box 55, American Falls, Idaho 83211. For more information or to volunteer please contact Kelly Brannock at 208-220- 0182.

Scout Troop 118/Cub Scout Pack 118

The Scouting program is now co-ed! We are non-denominational and welcome boys and girls from all faiths to join our Troop and Pack. We are very active and have regular outings and events. Boys and girls from 5-10 years old are invited to join Cub Scout Pack 118. Scout Troop 118 invites all boys and girls 11-18 years old. Meetings at 4:30pm-5:30pm each Friday (Sept-May).

Annual Pancake and German Sausage Supper

Held on Shrove Tuesday every year from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Facebook Page

The dinner features our famous German sausage, pancakes and scrambled eggs. Freewill donations are accepted, and will be divided between the Gerald Fehringer Community Youth Center and Hope House Home for Children in Marsing, Idaho.

Quilting Club

The St. John’s quilters meet regularly. Quilts are donated annually to the Hope House, the Salt Lake Burn Unit, and other charities. An annual quilt sale is held in May to offset the cost of supplies.

Scouts’ Winter Bazaar

The Scouts host a popular holiday bazaar on the first Saturday of November 9am-2pm. Up to 30 vendors showcase gifts, crafts, and edible goods. A cake auction will also be held.
