Idaho Trivia
I am learning the history and geography of Idaho, now that I am a resident of this great State and it is my home. I thought that I would share with you each month some of the fun facts and stories that I have learned (which you may or may not know yourselves) and that you can in turn share with one another over coffee.

(ANSWERS: 1_. Benjamin Harrison; 2. July 3, 1890; 3. Fred T. Dubois; 4. George L. Shoup; 5. Boise. Boise is a French word meaning: "wooded" - thus Boise is known as "the city of trees. " The French speaking fur trappers from eastern Canada gave the name to the "wooded" river. When the town of Boise was first platted in the summer of 1863, it was located on a dry sagebrush plain that sloped gently toward the tree-lined "Boise" river. Idaho is also the largest producer and exporter of trout. Who knew?!)
